Originally from Edina, Minnesota, Dan moved to Big Sky via Steamboat, Colorado in 1973. His career in real estate began during the early days of resort/vacation club ownership and progressed as his father started Delzer Real Estate and Management Company in 1990 with his wife Ruby.

Today, Big Sky has become a highly desirable resort location. And while there are over 100 licensed real estate agents in the area, Delzer Real Estate has emerged as one of the leading agencies. The Delzer Real Estate Company became a Coldwell Banker franchise during 2001. In 2003, Dan's real estate transactions earned the firm recognition as a Coldwell Banker Previews International Company. Over the years, Dan has received numerous awards for excellence in real estate and is a member of the Coldwell Banker President's Circle. During 2004 he personally completed sales exceeding 14 million dollars.

During 2004, Dan's goals for the company evolved to include the development of a new identity, and level of service, for the firm. Under the name BigSkyRealty.com, Dan and his team have expanded and enhanced the service offerings available to families and individuals seeking to buy and sell real estate in Big Sky.
